HomeTally alternative
A Tally alternative for when you need more than forms
Tally’s free plan is genuinely unlimited — unlimited forms, unlimited submissions — and it is more generous than ours. If forms are all you need, that is the honest recommendation. This page is about the case where they are not.
Free plan, no card. Paid plans start at $19 a month.
Why people look for a Tally alternative
Tally’s free plan is genuinely unlimited: unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, no allowance sitting there waiting to close a form in the middle of a campaign. It would be dishonest to write this page as though that were not true, and it is more generous than our own free plan, which covers one website with one form or calendar on it. So this is not a comparison about limits, and any page telling you Tally has a hidden cap is selling you something. It is a comparison about scope. Tally builds forms, and that focus is deliberate and it is most of why it is good. Sorraia’s single snippet is also a booking calendar, a product checkout and an AI chat agent, scoped per site with a login you can hand to a client. If forms are the whole job, that breadth is weight you would be carrying for nothing — and you should stay where you are.
The differences that are structural, not marketing
Every claim below was read from Tally’s own pricing or documentation on 3 September 2026, and each one links the page it came from. If one of them has gone stale since, the linked page wins and we would rather you found out there than took our word for it.
Tally’s pricing page served us euros rather than dollars, which means any figure we printed would be a number for one region presented as if it were yours. So this page compares what is capped, metered and charged extra for — which does not change with currency — and links their pricing page for the amount.
Tally’s free tier is more generous than ours, and we are not pretending otherwise
Unlimited forms and unlimited submissions on a free plan is a strong offer, and Sorraia’s Free plan does not match it: one website, and one form or calendar on that website. Where our free plan is unusual is the submission side — those are uncapped for us too, on every plan — but on form count alone, for a free user, Tally wins and the number is not close.

Tally is forms; Sorraia is four widget types on one account
The reason to look past Tally is not that its forms are worse, it is that the next thing you need is not a form. A Sorraia account covers contact forms, booking calendars with real availability and timezone handling, a Stripe-backed product checkout, and an AI chat agent — all embedded the same way, all styled from the same brand kit, all reporting into the same dashboard. If your client needs a form this month and a booking page next month, that is one account and one snippet rather than two vendors.

Tally embeds in a frame; Sorraia renders into your page
Tally’s embed puts the form in an iframe with a small script that resizes it as the content changes. That handles the height problem neatly, and it still leaves the form as a separate document, so your site’s CSS does not reach inside it. Sorraia writes the form into your own markup, which is why your section styles apply to it directly. Whether that matters depends entirely on how closely the form has to match the page around it.

Both show the vendor’s badge until a paid plan
Tally carries Tally branding until Pro; Sorraia carries a small “Powered by Sorraia” link on Free that comes off at Starter, $19 a month. Neither of us gives you an unbranded form for nothing. Check Tally’s current pricing for the Pro figure — theirs is the number that matters if branding is the only reason you are reading this page.

See it working
This is a real Sorraia form — our own contact form, rendered into this page’s own markup rather than into a frame. Open your browser’s inspector if you want to check that. Send it something if you like; it reaches us.
What you get with Sorraia
Build the form in Sorraia, paste one line into your website, and every submission lands in your dashboard — styled to match the site, with no plugin and no form-handling code to maintain.
Submissions live in your dashboard
Every submission is stored and searchable, filtered by site and date, with no cap on how many you can take — submissions are uncapped on every plan including Free. CSV export is a paid feature, and the export honours whatever filters the list is showing, so what you download is what you were looking at.
It points out which fields hold health data
While you build the form, Sorraia reads your field LABELS and flags the unambiguous ones — date of birth, MRN, insurance or member ID, diagnosis, medication, vitals — and offers to mark them as PHI. It is deliberately conservative and stays quiet on plain name, email and phone fields, because a tool that flags everything gets tuned out. Two things it is not: it reads labels in the builder, never submitted answers, and a marked field only routes into separate encrypted storage once HIPAA is switched on for that site under a signed BAA. Marking is a storage decision, not a compliance certificate — and we are not the ones who get to certify that anyway.
Workflows fire on submit
A submission can send email, post to Slack, hit a webhook, or run a multi-step workflow with conditions. Each run is logged with its result, so a failed delivery is visible rather than silent.
It inherits your brand kit
A new form is seeded from the site’s brand kit at creation, so the first version already looks like your site instead of like a generic form. Restyle it later in the builder and the change reaches live pages without you touching the embed again.

When Tally is the better choice
When you need forms and nothing else. That is not a hedge, it is the recommendation. Tally’s free tier is more generous than ours, its editor is quick and pleasant to work in, and if the job is a contact form, a survey, a waitlist or an application, you will spend less and be happy. Come back if the job grows a booking calendar, a checkout, an AI agent answering questions on the site, or a client who needs their own scoped login. Until then Tally is a good product, and this page is not going to invent a reason to leave it.
Questions
Is there a catch in Tally’s free plan I should know about?
Not one we found, and we looked — the unlimited forms and unlimited submissions are the actual offer, not an introductory rate. What sits behind Tally’s paid tier is what you would expect from any form product: removing the vendor’s branding, and the more advanced features. If a comparison page tells you Tally throttles you at some hidden number, treat that page as an advertisement.
Try it on one site before you move anything
The free plan covers one verified website with no card, and the embed is the same one you would use on a paid plan. Build the contact form, paste one line, and see how it looks on a page you already own.
