A Calendly alternative that is not priced per seat

Calendly charges per seat, and a seat is every human whose calendar is connected. Sorraia charges per plan — every paid tier has unlimited users, so the fifth bookable person changes nothing on the invoice.

Free plan, no card. Paid plans start at $19 a month.

Why people look for a Calendly alternative

Calendly prices per seat, and a seat is any human whose calendar is connected. For one person that is fine, and for everyone else it compounds: an agency scheduling on behalf of four clients is not buying one subscription, it is buying one per person who needs to be bookable — its own staff and the client’s staff, on both sides of the same meeting. Standard is $12 per seat per month as of September 2026, so the arithmetic is easy, and it is the arithmetic rather than the number that is the problem: your cost grows with your headcount and your client’s headcount rather than with your revenue. The free tier is one event type, which is enough to prove the product works and not enough to run a business on, and removing Calendly’s branding is a paid feature. Sorraia is priced per plan, not per person. Every paid plan has unlimited users and the Stripe subscription quantity is always one, so adding the fifth person who needs a booking page changes the invoice by nothing at all.

The differences that are structural, not marketing

Every claim below was read from Calendly’s own pricing or documentation on 3 September 2026, and each one links the page it came from. If one of them has gone stale since, the linked page wins and we would rather you found out there than took our word for it.

About the figures

Calendly’s prices below were read in US dollars on 3 September 2026. Prices change and vary by region, so treat their pricing page as the authority rather than this one.

Per seat versus per plan

Calendly’s Standard plan is $12 per seat per month (as of September 2026), and each person who needs their own booking page and connected calendar is a seat. Sorraia’s plans have no user cap at all — every paid tier is unlimited users, billed as a flat per-tier subscription with a quantity of one. Whether one person or fifteen people take bookings through your account, the subscription line is identical.

The free tier is one event type

Calendly’s free plan gives you a single event type, so a “15-minute intro” and a “45-minute review” are already a paid plan. Sorraia’s Free plan covers one website with one form or calendar on it, so it is also a small plan — the honest comparison is that both free tiers are demonstrations rather than businesses. The difference shows up at the second and third bookable person, not at the first.

Removing the badge is paid on both sides

Calendly lists removing Calendly branding as a paid-plan feature. So do we: a Sorraia embed on Free carries a small “Powered by Sorraia” link, removed at Starter, $19 a month. The difference is what else that $19 is buying — a booking calendar, plus forms, plus a shop widget, plus the AI chat allowance, on one account with unlimited users.

Calendly embeds through a frame; Sorraia renders into the page

Calendly’s inline and popup embeds load Calendly in an iframe and talk to the host page over postMessage — that is how the embed reports a completed booking back to your analytics. It is a solid design, and it means the booking UI is a separate document your CSS cannot style. Sorraia’s calendar renders into your own markup, so the section it sits in styles it directly, and it reads the visitor’s timezone in their browser rather than yours.

Calendly is the one platform we have a first-class importer for

Sorraia’s calendar importer connects to Calendly’s v2 API — through OAuth, or by pasting a public scheduling URL if you would rather not grant access — reads your event types with their durations, custom questions and locations, and turns them into Sorraia calendars. You preview what it found before anything is created, and an undo deletes exactly what the import made. It is the shortest migration path of any comparison in this series.

See it working

This is a real Sorraia booking calendar — the one we use for product demos, running here the same way it would run on your site. Pick a slot and it books, and the times are shown in your timezone rather than in ours.

What you get with Sorraia

Let visitors book you straight from your website. Set your real working hours — split days included — and the widget offers slots in the visitor’s own timezone, checking your connected calendar so it never double-books you.

Split days, not one block

A working day is an ordered list of up to four windows, so 9:00–12:00 plus 13:00–17:00 is one calendar rather than a compromise — the lunch gap serves no slots at all. The honest limit: that window list applies to every working day you tick. Split days are supported; giving Monday different hours from Tuesday is not.

Slots in the visitor’s own timezone

The widget detects the visitor’s timezone in their browser and renders every slot in it, with the zone named and changeable from a dropdown — and if their zone is not in the list, it gets added rather than snapping them to a wrong one. Nobody has to work out in their head whether your 3pm is their 3pm, which is the most common way a booking gets missed.

It fails safe, so it never double-books

When a host has a calendar connected, busy time is checked before a slot is offered. If that check cannot complete — the provider is down, the token is stale — the day is treated as busy rather than offered. You may occasionally show less availability than you have; you will not get booked over something.

Name and email are yours to rename

The built-in Name and Email rows are ordinary rows in the field list: rename them, reorder them, put your own questions above them. The booking payload keeps its fixed shape underneath, so renaming a label can never break a workflow that reads it.

Every booking gets a manage link

The confirmation carries a token link the guest uses to reschedule or cancel — rescheduling keeps the same link working, cancelling retires it, so a cancelled meeting’s link stops being a working key the moment the meeting is off.

When Calendly is the better choice

For internal team scheduling, and for anything routing-heavy. If everyone who needs to be bookable is on your own payroll, per-seat pricing is not a structural problem — it is just a price, and Calendly is a very good product for that money. It is also ahead of us on what a larger sales or recruiting team leans on: routing forms that qualify a lead and send them to the right rep, meeting polls, workflows around the booking, deep Salesforce and HubSpot integration, admin controls, and team-wide analytics. Sorraia’s calendar is a booking widget on your website. If what you need is a scheduling platform sitting inside a sales process, that is Calendly.

Questions

Can I bring my Calendly event types across?

Yes, and this is the one migration in this series that is genuinely quick. Connect Calendly through OAuth, or paste a public scheduling link if you would rather not authorise anything, and the importer reads your event types — durations, custom questions, locations — and previews them as Sorraia calendars before it creates anything. If the result is not what you wanted, the undo deletes exactly what the import created and leaves everything else alone.

Does it check my real calendar so I do not get double-booked?

Yes, when you connect one — Google Calendar today. Busy time is read before a slot is offered, and if that read cannot complete, because the provider is down or a token has gone stale, the day is treated as busy rather than offered. You will occasionally show less availability than you have; you will not get booked over something that was already in the diary.

How many people can take bookings on a Sorraia plan?

As many as you like. User caps were removed from the plan model entirely — every paid tier is unlimited users, and the subscription quantity billed to Stripe is always one, so the count never touches the invoice. What the plans do meter is websites, and how many forms plus calendars sit on each of them.

Try it on one site before you move anything

The free plan covers one verified website with no card, and the embed is the same one you would use on a paid plan. Build the booking calendar, paste one line, and see how it looks on a page you already own.
